Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

From 7 - 12 July 2009 Border Sundials will be exhibiting a selection of armillary spheres at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. As part of the Tudor theme in the Festival of Roses Marquee.

The Tudor Rose Festival is themed like Henry VIII's Tudor Court with a dramatic red and white Tudor Rose symbol taking pride of place.

Armillary Spheres were very popular with the Tudors and were used as astronomical instruments. Capel says "I'm extremely honoured to have been invited to be part of this historic event."

Hampton Court Palace was the favourite residence of Henry VIII and to celebrate the 500th anniversary of his accession to the throne, the RHS has given the show a Tudor theme.
