A traditional handmade 8″ (20cm) horizontal sundial from Border Sundials costs £120 including engraving and delivery to UK addresses.

Capel also makes other sizes of horizontal sundial such as 10″, 12″ and 14″ diameter sizes, these are handmade from ¼″ thick marine grade brass. Other sizes can also be made.

There are 3 horizontal designs - Personalised, Classic and Nautical. The Classic and Nautical have space for a small amount of engraving but look good without.

Our horizontal sundials are calibrated for timekeeping in the United Kingdom and Ireland. If you live elsewhere one can be made for your country's latitude.

Horizontal sundials can be mounted on either a garden wall or a sundial plinth to create a lifelong reminder of a birthday or special occasion.
