Cascade will transform any garden into a serene retreat, adding movement, serenity, sound, and visual interest. Strategically placing the Cascade not only enhances your garden’s aesthetic appeal but also helps support local wildlife, such as birds and pollinators, and contributes to a calming outdoor atmosphere.
The sound of moving water is peaceful and relaxing. The Cascade provides a hypnotic focal point in your garden. The playful patterns and reflections across the surface of the pool and the constant fall of the water provide a very meditative effect.
Cascade can be enjoyed as a stand alone feature, reflecting the colours of your garden in the polished stainless steel and in the surface of the water. Cascade also works well in conjunction with any of our Armillary Spheres.
How it works.
The Cascade is an 84cm, 33” diameter highly polished stainless steel bowl with a pumped water system. The Cascade can mounted in a variety of ways. Other sizes are available on request.
Water is pumped from the reservoir in an endless cycle that rotates around the bowl, spilling gently over the edge. We have cunningly arranged the water inlet valves to create a clockwise rotation of the water, which keeps the water surface moving moving in a satisfying way. Due to the high polish, the water clings to the edge of the bowl, disappearing gracefully into the hidden reservoir to start the cycle again.
The Cascade water feature is designed to be displayed on it’s own, or paired with any of our Armillary Spheres.
Where should you place the Cascade?
Placement is key to maximizing both the aesthetic and functional benefits of the Cascade. Choose a location visible from your most-used garden spaces, such as a patio, deck, or even indoor windows. This allows you to enjoy the feature throughout the day. A level spot with good access to power and water supplies is ideal. Consider placing it where sunlight can enhance reflections. Also, think about how sound travels—placing the feature near a seating area can provide a soothing backdrop for conversation or meditation.
Ultimately, the Cascade should complement your garden’s layout and purpose. With thoughtful placement, it becomes more than just decoration—it becomes a source of tranquility and a beloved part of your outdoor living space.
Why add the ‘Cascade’ water feature?
The gentle sound of flowing water can mask unwanted noise from traffic or neighbours, creating a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The Cascade also introduces a focal point, drawing the eye and enhancing the visual structure of your garden. The cascading water adds an element of dynamism that evolves with light and season. Moreover, it offers ecological benefits by supporting biodiversity.
Recirculating systems
As a recirculating water feature Cascade offers numerous benefits for both your garden and the environment. Unlike traditional water features that require a constant supply of fresh water, Cascade reuses the same water, making it more sustainable and cost-effective.
Water conservation is one of the main advantages. Since the system continually cycles the same water, it significantly reduces overall water usage. Once filled, the Cascade only needs occasional topping up to replace evaporation losses, minimizing your water bill and environmental impact.
Low maintenance is another benefit. Cascade is self-contained and does not require complex plumbing or drainage. It comes with built-in filtration that helps keep the water clean and free from debris and algae. We suggest adding a ‘Black Pond Water Dye’ which stops algae growth and makes the water gloriously reflective. With proper care, the systems will remain clear and functional with minimal effort for years.
In summary, the recirculating water feature ‘Cascade’ combines beauty, efficiency, and eco-friendliness. It offers a practical way to enjoy the calming benefits of water while supporting sustainability and enhancing your outdoor living space.
